Event	Rules
Solo Dance	Maximum duration: 5 minutes (+ 30 seconds – grace) Maximum participants: One senior and one junior Song selected must be communicated to us via e-mail / phone by 18th August, 2009
Group Dance	Group dance are performed by a group of children simultaneously, as opposed to individuals dancing alone or individually, and as opposed to couples dancing together. Group Dance theme / song must be chosen such that it should not look or sound obscene in any way. Such selection of songs will be rejected. Maximum duration: 5 minutes / team Maximum participants: One team from the senior group (up to 8 children allowed) and one team from the juniors group (up to 8 children allowed) Minimum participants: Minimum 3 children in a team Song selected must be communicated to us via e-mail / phone by 18th August, 2009
Dumb Charades	Each team will comprise of two participants. One participant from each team will be given a song / movie name and he needs to enact without saying anything. Maximum duration: 1 minute Maximum participants: Maximum two teams from an institute.
Pictures Puzzles	This will be an on the spot creative puzzle game for juniors only. They’ll be given alphabets / numbers / articles to form something out of it. This will be on the spot so we request school to send children with creative instincts. A team will comprise of two children. Maximum duration: 30 minutes Maximum participants: Maximum two teams from an institute.
Solo Singing	Maximum duration: 3 minutes Maximum participation: Two seniors and two juniors (per participant school)
Best out of waste	A team comprising of 3-4 children (of any age group) will be given a set of waste (un-usable) materials, for e.g. broken pencils, nuts, bolt, newspaper, torn cloth, rubber bands etc… Within one hour’s time, a creative best out of the waste needs to be created. The best creation will win the prizes! Maximum duration: 60 minutes Maximum participants: 4 participants in a team.
Face Painting	Face painting Competition involves painting of faces in a specific design / theme using harmless and washable body paint / crayons. One team will comprise of two children, one who’ll paint, and second (partner), on whose face the painting will be done. Themes can be decided on a prior basis by the teams. Face Paints / crayons may be brought by participants themselves. However in case of unavailability it will be provided by us. Maximum duration: 40 minutes Maximum participation: Two teams from seniors (4 children in total) and two teams from juniors (4 children in total).
Sit & draw competition	This is a sit and draw (Sketching / Painting) competition. Theme / topic will be given by us on the spot. Drawing sheets & pencils will be provided by us. Required stationary may be brought by participants themselves. However in case of unavailability we’ll provide water colors / crayons only. Maximum duration: 45 minutes Maximum participation: 5 seniors & 5 juniors. Minimum participation: 1 senior & one junior
Written Quiz Competition	There will be written quiz held based on General knowledge and General Awareness. The difficulty levels of the quiz will vary according to the class (or age) as decided by the committee. Children must be prepared for this quiz based on their text books. Maximum duration: 45 minutes Minimum participation: At least two children from a school / NGO

Denomination of Prizes

• First , Second & Third Prizes in all the Disciplines (Certificates + Prizes)
• Participation certificates for all the Participants.
• Championship Trophy* for the best school with highest points earned. (Certificates + prizes for all)
• Most Disciplined Team* trophy for the team that remains most disciplined throughout the event.

• Reporting time is 7.30 A.M. Registration will start at 8:00 AM sharp. After 8:45 AM, there will be no registrations. Children should be accompanied by 5-7 teachers who’ll be responsible for their conduct throughout the event.
• Musical Instruments will not be provided by us or the school for singing competition.
• Materials for Drawing competition will be provided to you.
• One time refreshments (lunch) will be arranged by us. However students are requested to have proper / heavy breakfast and come to school. They can also bring their tiffin / snacks along with them.
• The competition for all events would start simultaneously therefore please see to it that wherever possible one child should participate in not more than one discipline.
• Exceeding the time limits allotted for each event will lead to negative marking.
• Musical Instruments will not be provided by us or the school for solo / group singing competition.
• Materials for drawing competition and face painting will be provided to you (this includes drawing sheets, paints, crayons, pencils, face paint only).
• Transportation will not be arranged by us. However, if arranging transportation for your school is a major difficulty and a hindrance to participation please contact us at the given numbers.
• CDs for solo / group dance competition must be arranged by the participating teams. Songs selected for the same should be conveyed to us by 18th August 2009.
• For group singing only patriotic songs are allowed (in any language)
• No obscene song or dance items will be allowed to perform.
• We need the following details from all the participating teams latest by 18th of August to be mailed at our given email addresses:
  • The finalized names of the participants for all the events.
  • Details of the songs selected for Solo / Group dance for both senior as well as junior group.
• If there is any change in the participants, the final names should reach us latest by 25th August, 2009. Last minute changes will not be accommodated.
• First Aid box will be provided in school.
